The project

Official music video for "Famme capì", a song by 'A67 feat. Séverine Seba from the album Nemesi, produced by Betty Wrong. The track is part of Nemesi d’amore e di anarchia, a music and literary anthology published by Baldini+Castoldi, featuring stories by 18 writers inspired by the songs. Entirely animated, the video tells a story of unrequited love through a symbolic aesthetic made of LED outlines and emotional scenes set against a black background.

Unlike other projects where I take on more specific roles, such as character designer or animator, animated music videos are where I find my full creative freedom. In this case, I was entrusted with the entire visual production, from direction to storytelling, from visual concept to animation. It was an opportunity to narrate, with personal style and expressive freedom, a rhythmic storytelling made of visual metaphors and moving emotions.

Concept

The protagonist expresses himself through symbols, embodying vintage musical elements — like a talking cassette tape or a 1960s-style microphone — evoking another kind of love: a love for the music of the past, rawer and more authentic than today's.

When he fails to win the girl over through his natural language — music — he puts on the mask of Pierrot, taking on the role of the hopeless romantic.

He embarks on an emotional journey made of illusions, vulnerability, and authenticity, in a symbolic voyage between Naples and Paris — cities that reflect the two voices of the song, the male voice in Neapolitan and the female voice in French. The girl, always distracted and wearing headphones, embodies a distant and elusive youth, unable to truly perceive what's around her.
